Our New Construction System
For every new construction project we take on, we follow our three-step construction process to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Planning, Designing, Preparing
Before any construction can begin, everything must be in place to start the process. We review the basics of your structure, like what materials we will use, the orientation of the addition or full structure, and an estimate of the cost and project timeline.
We’re proud to offer full design/build services. We can map out detailed schematics for your project. You don’t just have to worry about the structure in new construction. You have to figure out things like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC to get the entire scope and picture of what the final product is going to be.
There’s also a ton of paperwork before you can start building. We need to obtain permits, and get insurance that meets certain guidelines. We obtain materials that meet your budget and quality standards. Our relationships with quality subcontractors in the New York City area help us to get the best ones for your job.
Actual Construction Phase
Once we work the specifics out, we can break ground on the construction site. Professionals fully prepare the site before work can start. Vegetation has to be cleared, appropriate drainage has to be created, and we bring in temporary buildings for the staff on the site daily. We must do everything so that it doesn’t negatively impact the areas around the site.
Before we can start on the actual building, the site has to be ready to support it. Utilities and connections bring water, sewer, and electricity. Professionals inspect all of these things and verify them before construction starts.
Foundation and framing start the construction. Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC come next, then internal walls, doors, windows, and floors. Once the interior is completed, exterior walls and doors can be added so that you can see your complete building. We clean the site up and work on landscaping for the full impact.
Post Construction
The process isn’t complete once the building is done. We do a walkthrough with you to ensure you’re happy with all of the specifics of your building. If you find problems, we correct them before signing off on the building. Once you’re happy, we give you a certificate of substantial completion. This allows you to get an official building inspection, complete the process, and allow occupancy in your building.
